This guide covers the setup of the semi-automatic gummed tape dispenser: table placement, reservoir filling, roll loading and centering, strip adjustment, wetting, and final cleaning. Follow these steps for consistent, electricity-free sealing and to keep the moistening roller stable.
The equipment operates with a lever, moistens the tape using a roller, and dispenses a repeatable fixed length. Its metal casing and weight provide stability on the packaging table.

Use a level and clear table. Leave clear space at the output to take the strip without it rubbing against boxes, tools, or the edge of the table.
Check that the reservoir and roller are clean before filling. Do not add solvents, detergents, or adhesives: the tape already contains starch that is activated with water.
Mount the roll with the adhesive side facing the moistening path. Center the 48 or 70 mm width and feed the end along the equipment's path to the output.
Set the required length for your box and dispense a test strip. Verify that it comes out straight, evenly moist, and long enough to cover the seam you are going to seal.
Use a sample box to set the length at the start of each format. This reduces trimming, ensures consistent sealing, and helps detect uneven moistening before processing the entire batch.
Operate the lever, grasp the strip by the ends, and immediately place it over the joint of the flaps. Press from the center outwards until the entire tape adheres to the cardboard.
The equipment supports all four variants of Dodom gummed tape: 48 or 70 mm, standard or reinforced.
Remove paper residue when finished. If the equipment will not be used soon, empty and rinse the reservoir, and clean the roller with water before the adhesive dries. Do not use solvents or sharp objects. Store the dispenser without wet tape in the path.
Do not leave water with adhesive residue for long periods. Accumulation can harden on the roller, leading to uneven moistening or jams.
It supports rolls from 20 to 100 mm, including Dodom's 48 and 70 mm variants.
No. The feed is activated by a lever, and the 1.5 L reservoir supplies the moistening roller.
Remove paper residue, empty and rinse the reservoir, and clean the roller with water. Do not use solvents or sharp tools.
