The plastic box pallet is offered in four components that can be combined depending on your operation: the box pallet itself (base container), the lid (top closure), the wheels (mobility without forklift), and the discharge valve (controlled emptying of liquids or fluid bulk). All components are compatible with each other and share the American format (120 × 100 cm) in grey. The choice is not between one or the other, but what combination your operation needs.
🎯 Choose the component in 10 seconds
- If you need the main container: go to the box pallet
- If you need to close and stack the load: add the lid
- If you need to move the box without a forklift: add the wheels
- If you need to empty liquids or fluid bulk: add the discharge valve
What to consider before choosing components
The four components are combinable depending on the operation. The question is what functions your logistical flow needs. These are the criteria for defining it:
- Mandatory base container: the box pallet is the main component. Without it, there is no container. It is the base on which accessories are added.
- Lid for closing and stacking: without a lid, the box remains open and is not stackable when full. The lid protects against dust, humidity, and light, and supports the weight of stacked boxes.
- Wheels for mobility: the box pallet with wheels becomes a "rolling container" that can be moved by hand without the need for a pallet jack or forklift. Especially useful in small warehouses, cold rooms, stores, or supermarkets where there is no handling equipment.
- Valve for controlled discharge: the PVC valve with a ball handle allows liquids or fluid bulk (grains, pellets, granules) to be emptied without tipping the box. Essential for the chemical, food, or agricultural industry when working with bulk products.
- Typical combinations: general warehouse (box pallet only); finished product for stacking (pallet + lid); internal mobility in a supermarket (pallet + wheels + lid); homemade IBC for liquids (pallet + valve + lid).
Box Pallet: The main container
- Capacity 610 L (161 gal)
- Static load 4,000 kg, dynamic 1,000 kg
- 4-way and 2-way entry
- Reinforced pillars and edges
- Anti-shock rounded corners
- Not foldable: always occupies full volume
- Not stackable when full without a lid
The box pallet is the main container on which accessories are mounted. Its external dimensions are 1,200 × 1,000 × 780 mm (American standard) and it offers a loading volume of 610 L. Reinforced pillars and edges, anti-shock rounded corners, and anti-slip rubbers make it suitable for intensive use in warehouses, transport, and handling with forklifts or pallet jacks. It is the standard option for bulk product storage when there is no need to fold the box when returning empty.
Lid: The closure and stacking accessory
- Allows stacking of full boxes
- Protects against dust, humidity, and light
- Enables sealing of the load
- Low weight: 5 kg
- Additional cost over the pallet
- Extra volume when transported separately
The lid closes the top of the box pallet with a firm fit over the edge. Measuring 1,210 × 1,010 × 85 mm and weighing 5 kg, it is light and manageable by one person. It allows full boxes to be stacked, protects the contents from dust or light, and seals the load for goods with security requirements. The lid of this box pallet has the same specifications as that of the foldable pallet, which simplifies inventory in operations that combine both models.
Wheels: The accessory for mobility without a forklift
- Converts the box into a rolling container
- 5 braking wheels: stability when stationary
- 100 mm diameter: overcomes irregularities
- Nylon material: resistant and quiet
- Galvanized steel mounting plate
- Raises 135 mm: check total height
- Not suitable for very uneven floors
- Load capacity depends on surface
The package of 5 wheels converts the box pallet into a rolling container that can be moved by hand. The wheels, made of 100 mm diameter and 35 mm wide nylon, are mounted on a galvanized steel plate and incorporate a brake to keep the box stationary. It is the choice when the box is handled in small warehouses, cold rooms, supermarkets, stores, or hospital environments where there is no pallet jack or forklift, but goods need to be moved frequently between points.
Discharge valve: The accessory for controlled emptying
- Ball valve: quick closing (90°)
- Resistant PVC material
- Visible red handle
- 55 mm outlet diameter
- Minimum weight: 0.12 kg
- Requires box prepared for valve
- Not suitable for coarse bulk (rubble)
- PVC: check chemical compatibility
The discharge valve is a PVC ball-type accessory with a quick-control handle (90° rotation) that allows the box to be emptied without tipping it. It has an inlet diameter of 30 mm and an outlet of 55 mm, a total length of 155 mm, and weighs 0.12 kg. It is the standard option for the chemical, food, or agro-industrial sector when working with liquids (oils, syrups, solutions), fluid bulk (grains, pellets, sugar, flour), or any product that can be dispensed by gravity. For specific chemical products, verify the chemical compatibility of the PVC before use.
Component comparison table
The four components are combinable. The table summarizes their characteristics so you can evaluate which ones to add to your order based on your operation.

Use Case Matrix → Recommended Combination
| If your case is… | Recommended combination |
|---|---|
| Static bulk storage without stacking | → Pallet box only |
| Finished product for stacking in warehouse | → Pallet + lid |
| Internal mobility in supermarket or cold room | → Pallet + wheels (+ lid) |
| Compact warehouse without pallet jack | → Pallet + wheels |
| Bulk liquid (oils, syrups, solutions) | → Pallet + lid + valve |
| Grains, pellets or fluid bulk in agroindustry | → Pallet + valve (+ lid) |
| Auto parts or components in returnable pool | → Pallet box only |
Plan the quantities of each component according to rotation. For each pallet box, calculate how many lids you need (not necessarily 1:1, depending on how much product is kept closed at once), how many sets of wheels (only pallets that will be moved by hand), and how many valves (only pallets for liquids or fluid bulk). A typical purchase for mixed warehouses is: 100% pallets, 60–80% lids, 20–30% wheel sets, 10–20% valves. Adjust according to your actual flow.
Do not use the PVC discharge valve with chemical products without verifying chemical compatibility. PVC is resistant to many common chemicals (water, neutral aqueous solutions, liquid foods), but it is not compatible with strong organic solvents, concentrated acids, or aromatic hydrocarbons. Before using the valve with a specific product, consult the manufacturer's chemical compatibility chart or ask your process engineer for confirmation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Pallet box or foldable pallet box?
The pallet box (this product) has a fixed construction: it is always assembled and occupies the same volume, empty or full. The foldable plastic pallet box has collapsible sides that reduce its height to 30 cm when empty for return. Use the fixed version when the box is always full in your facility; use the foldable version when the box returns empty and the cost of return transport matters.
How are the wheels mounted?
The wheels come with their galvanized steel mounting plate and the necessary screws and nuts. They are screwed into position on the feet of the pallet box. The package contains 5 wheels: 4 perimeter wheels to support the load and 1 central wheel for extra support when the pallet is heavily loaded. All include a brake to keep the box stationary.
Does the valve come pre-installed?
The valve is sold as a separate accessory. Installation requires the pallet box to have valve preparation (perforation in the lower area). Verify with the manufacturer that your pallet box is prepared for a valve before ordering the accessory. On-site installation is performed by personnel with basic plumbing knowledge and standard tools.
