Quality and durability
The weak point of a cheap filament tape is the strands: too few, poorly distributed or made of brittle fiber that snaps under tension. Fortemo uses continuous fiberglass filaments and high-tack hot melt adhesive, the combination that holds the load without the tape stretching or the strands breaking at the moment of peak tension.
¿Puede sustituir al fleje plástico en atados y bultos?
En atados pequeños y medianos, sí: agrupar tubos, perfiles, varillas o maderas, reforzar cajas pesadas e inmovilizar partes móviles se resuelve con esta cinta sin montar tensora, sello ni hebilla. Los filamentos de fibra de vidrio aportan resistencia a la tracción de fleje (mínimo 250 N/cm) con elongación menor al 5 %, así el atado no se afloja. Para unitarizar palets completos o cargas que exigen tensión mecánica alta y sostenida, el fleje PP o PET con herramienta sigue siendo la solución correcta.
¿Qué ancho me conviene: 18, 25 o 48 mm?
El de 18 mm es para atados ligeros: varillas finas, cajas medianas, inmovilizar tapas y cajones. El de 25 mm es el equilibrio para agrupar tubos y reforzar cajas pesadas de exportación. El de 48 mm es para los trabajos de mayor exigencia: fondos de cajas muy cargadas, bobinas y bultos voluminosos donde se busca máxima superficie de agarre. Los tres anchos traen 50 m por rollo; a mayor ancho, más filamentos trabajando por pasada.
¿Se corta a mano como una cinta normal?
No. Los filamentos de fibra de vidrio longitudinales que le dan la resistencia impiden rasgarla con los dedos como una cinta convencional: se corta con tijera, cuchilla o la sierra de un dispensador. Es un detalle operativo a prever en la mesa de empaque y, a la vez, la señal de que la cinta es genuinamente reforzada: una cinta de filamento que se rasga fácil a mano tiene hilos escasos o de fibra frágil.
¿Qué diferencia tiene frente a una cinta de filamento económica?
La diferencia está en los hilos y el adhesivo. Una cinta económica trae filamentos escasos, mal distribuidos o de fibra frágil que revienta justo al tensar, y adhesivo que cede bajo carga sostenida. Esta cinta usa filamentos de fibra de vidrio continuos bien repartidos en el ancho y adhesivo hot melt de alto tack que fija al instante y mantiene la unión durante el viaje. En la práctica se nota en menos roturas al aplicar y atados que llegan firmes a destino.
