Palletizing fruit, hot-packed vegetables, firewood, nursery plants, and perishable loads requires securing the goods without sealing them in closed plastic that traps heat and moisture. This machine stretch netting—also called pallet net, industrial wrapping net, or pallet netting—is manufactured with virgin high-density polyethylene woven in heavy-gauge Raschel knitted, designed for automatic and semi-automatic palletizing lines in the agricultural, food, and manufacturing industries of the Dominican market.

Key benefits

  • Raschel knitted weave with high breathability: open pattern that allows constant air circulation around the pallet, preventing condensation, mold, and gas buildup in hot-packed loads or perishable products during transport and storage.
  • Virgin high-performance HDPE: extruded virgin polyethylene tape yarn with no recycled content, woven in industrial Raschel with higher gauge and density to withstand the pace of a wrapping machine. The difference between a premium net and a generic roll shows up in the first shift of intensive production.
  • Compatibility with standard wrapping machines: the roll fits on conventional automatic or semi-automatic dispensing heads with a Ø 76 mm core, integrating into existing palletizing lines without requiring adaptations.
  • Controlled mechanical stretching: the weave construction allows firm and uniform tension over the goods, adjusting to irregular contours without breaking at machine pace.
  • Breathable substitute for closed film: replaces the traditional stretch film roll when ventilation is critical to preserve the integrity of the goods, without sacrificing pallet holding stability.

Typical applications and uses

  • Automatic palletizing of fresh fruit, vegetables, and horticultural products in packing centers and agri-industry.
  • Securing pallets with hot-packed products that require heat dissipation before dispatch.
  • Wrapping nursery plants, firewood, charcoal, and forestry products that do not tolerate a sealed environment.
  • Palletizing operations in manufacturing where pallet breathability prevents corrosion or condensation on metal parts.

Quality and durability

An economical stretch net fails at two points: low-density yarn that loses tension in the first intensive shift and breaks on the machine, and a weave opening that closes when stretched, ceasing to breathe as it should. This reference works with virgin professional-grade HDPE woven in heavy-gauge Raschel knitted with uniform unwinding, compliant with FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 for indirect contact with packaged food. That careful manufacturing sets a professional palletizing net apart from a market roll that breaks the line every half hour.

Also known as: Technical: pallet netting, industrial Raschel knitted net, pallet netting, machine wrapping mesh, machine stretch netting. In DR and Caribbean: malla para paletizar, red para pallets, malla envolvedora, malla transpirable para emplaye, malla macroperforada. In other countries: pallet net wrap (USA), pallet netting (USA), filet de palettisation (FR), rede de paletização (BR), rete per palettizzazione (IT).
Does it work in any standard automatic wrapping machine?

Yes, in the vast majority. The roll comes with a 76 mm (3 inch) cardboard core, the worldwide standard for dispenser heads on automatic and semi-automatic wrapping machines. It integrates into existing palletizing lines without mechanical adaptations. On wrappers with a motorized pre-stretch head, adjust the percentage to the fabric's operating range, since knitted net stretches less than a conventional LLDPE film.

What makes it different from stretch film on a machine?

They are two different products for different cases. Stretch film is an extruded LLDPE sheet with two-sided cling and high pre-stretch. This net is Raschel knitted fabric in heavy-gauge HDPE yarn, with no cling, that holds through the mechanical tension of the fabric. The net provides constant ventilation of the pallet, essential for hot-packed products or perishable loads that cannot tolerate a sealed environment. Film closes the pallet completely; this net lets it breathe.

Why choose breathable instead of closed film?

Letting the pallet breathe prevents condensation, mold, gases and corrosion during transport. It is critical for fruit, vegetables, hot-packed products that need to shed heat before dispatch, nursery plants and metal parts that can rust in a sealed environment. If the load has none of those requirements, a closed stretch film may be enough. The net covers the specific case where ventilation is part of the quality of the delivered product.

Can it keep up with intensive production on a continuous line?

It is made of high-performance virgin HDPE knitted on industrial Raschel looms at a heavier gauge and density than the manual version, precisely to withstand the pace of a wrapping machine on continuous lines. The difference between a premium net and a generic roll shows in long shifts: the cheap roll stops the line with loose threads or irregular unwinding. This reference keeps consistent behavior batch after batch.

Is it recyclable and how do you handle the core?

Yes. It is made of pure high-density polyethylene (HDPE), identified with recycling code number 2. It can join standard HDPE plastic recycling streams together with other products of the same material. We recommend removing product residues before handing it over to a collection point. The 76 mm cardboard core is recycled separately in paper and cardboard streams.
